Destination Weddings

Far from home, planned from here.

Lisa plans destination weddings by inquiry, for couples marrying in the United States, Mexico, Jamaica and Europe. She has toured resorts and venues in Mexico, Jamaica and Croatia.

The same discipline

Venue first. Then the team. Then the travel.

A destination wedding is planned in the same order as one at home: secure the venue, then the entertainment and the photographer, then the second wave of design, decor and accommodation. What a destination adds is the guest travel: the room blocks, the arrivals, the welcome evening and the day after, all of which belong in the timeline from the start.

Lisa's vendor priorities do not change with the location: reliability, quality, the working relationship and experience, in that order. Where she does not already have a relationship, she builds one before she recommends anyone.

Destination work is scoped per engagement, so the first conversation is about the place, the date and the number of guests who will travel.
